1958 Directory Operators

Directory operators, each with a series of telephone directories in front of them bound in metal boxes and with their own scaled-down board, assisted customers in 1958. Operators worked a very large switchboard in the background. . This historical marker is in Downtown in Sacramento in Sacramento County California
