1249 Main Street

Built in 1890 by Leo Lesser, 1249 Main was first opened as Drummer's Hotel. The name was then changed to Planter's Hotel. Below the hotel was The Bank of Tunica and the IGA Grocery, which later became the Kroger Store, and later became M and H Grocery. When the hotel closed, it was vacant until Jimmy Eubanks opened it for office space. It now houses 10 office suites. Each office has been restored with the original plaster walls and wood floors. . This historical marker was erected by Tunica Main Street. It is in Tunica in Tunica County Mississippi
