An incredible maze of messy telephone wire crowds downtown in 1911. A typical problem all over the country as telephone business proliferated, the lines were both unsightly and dangerous. Soon, engineers began replacing them with underground cable. . This historical marker is in Downtown in Sacramento in Sacramento County California
